Under Armour Corporate Headquarters
The Under Armour Cascade/Joy Interior Renovations project is a 66,500 square foot fit-out consisting of a renovation to restore and display the existing structure. All exposed conduit was carefully coordinated with the design team and owner representatives. The executive level was constructed with a raised floor to house electrical and mechanical distribution for a clean and modern exposed ceiling appearance. The lighting package consisted of all LED including low voltage and wireless controls through a main lighting control system. For Hirsch Electric, the project nearly doubled its contract value and though challenging, turnover was completed with a minimal schedule extension.
NBP 410, 420 & 430
The National Business Park 400 series campus consists of three office buildings (NBP410, NBP420 and NBP430) totaling 383,000 square feet. Hirsch Electric completed NBP410/430 with Hitt Contracting and NBP420 with Riparius Construction. NBP410/430 each contain a 3,000 amp service with four tenant electrical closets. NBP420 has a 4,000 amp service with five tenant electrical closets. All elevator lobbies were completely fit-out; mechanical and fire alarm systems were installed throughout. The plaza lighting, site lighting and ductbank work was performed by the Hirsch Utility division.
Century Engineering Corporate Headquarters
To accommodate expansion, Century Engineering constructed a new corporate headquarters building. The LEED Silver building is a 58,000 square foot, four story building with basement. The new building’s architecture made the electrical construction unique and challenging. The intent of the design was to create a working showroom with open space and ceilings to display the building’s systems. Attention to detail was top priority as our work would be exposed for all building employees, clients and visitors to see. Furthermore, the strict guidelines of the United States Green Building Council’s LEED program demanded even tighter constraints and extensive paperwork. A slow start to construction and a firm deadline required the project’s schedule to become accelerated. Ten hour work days including Saturdays became the norm for the final months of the job.
1401 Fleet Street
1401 Fleet Street is a renovation and addition to a 95 year old, 15,700 square foot industrial building. The building core upgrades included a new 1,600 Amp electrical service and a new parking lot. Hirsch Electric also completed several tenant fitouts within the building; including Vanguard’s Offices and Segull Group’s Offices. An exposed structure required the new electrical installations to be coordinated with the other trades so all systems fit in a visually appealing layout. As a result of good design and hard work, the project was recognized by Baltimore Heritage Inc. for its adaptive reuse of the existing building.
Station Ridge
The Station Ridge campus consists of three tilt-up office buildings totaling 264,000 square feet. A fourth building is proposed but not yet constructed. Hirsch Electric completed the first two buildings with Morgan Keller and the third building with Whiting-Turner. Each building contains a 3,000 amp service with six tenant electrical closets. The first floor lobbies were completely fitout; mechanicals and fire alarm system were installed throughout. All the site lighting and ductbank work was performed by the Hirsch Utility division. Hirsch was also awarded the Ciena fitout which included 74,000 square feet of building 7301 and the covered walkway between 7301 and 7035.
