The Severn School middle and high day school is located just outside of Annapolis Maryland in Severna Park. To modernize the campus the school decided to construct a new athletic complex. This improvements would consist of a new central lobby linking together the existing gymnasium constructed in 1963 and a new 44,000 square foot two story building housing a larger gymnasium, locker rooms and activity rooms. The original electrical contract included the lower level as shell space but changed when funding was secured for the full lower level fit out. The building design (as a gym above shell space) incorporated all electric heat. Midway through construction the entire building was redesigned to hydronic heat. Branch circuitry, feeders and panels had to be resized and relocated to accommodate the new design.
